Moms Deserve Self-Care Too

Motherhood is beautiful, but it is also exhausting in ways that are hard to explain unless you’re living it every day.

It’s keeping up with appointments, schedules, grocery lists, being sure there is always their favorite foods readily available, their nails that seem to always need to be trimmed, clothes they somehow outgrow overnight, changing clothes seasons, endless mountains of laundry that you can never keep up with and a house that feels messy again five minutes after cleaning it.

It’s being needed constantly.
Being overstimulated.
Feeling touched out.

Trying to stay calm through tantrums, whining, sibling fights, and the nonstop mental load of remembering everything for everyone.

So many moms are running on empty while telling themselves they just need to “push through.”

But self-care is not selfish. It is necessary.

Self-care does not always mean a spa day or a weekend away. Sometimes it looks like:

  • Asking for help

  • Taking a break without guilt

  • Going to therapy

  • Saying no to one more thing

  • Letting yourself rest

  • Stepping outside for a breather

  • Staying up late watching your shows

  • Uninterrupted time in the bathroom

  • Simply just having moments of pure silence in all of the chaos

You do not have to earn rest by reaching burnout first.

Moms are often the warriors of their homes — carrying so much mentally, emotionally, and physically every single day. But even the strongest people need care too.

You deserve support.
You deserve rest.
And you deserve the same compassion you give so freely to everyone else.

Take care of yourself today and everyday mama’s. You deserve it 🩷
