Hi, I’m Lauren!
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor, therapist and founder of Sense of Calm Counseling.
Along with being a dedicated therapist, I’m a married mom of three little ones, ages 4, 3 and 1), and as you can imagine, life is never boring. If I’m being honest, it’s often a little hectic and loud—and I believe that’s part of what makes me a grounded and relatable therapist. I bring this authenticity into my therapy sessions by meeting clients where they are, understanding the messiness of real life, and creating a space that feels safe, calm, and human rather than perfect.
My passion for helping others grew from my own life experiences. Those experiences taught me empathy, patience, and just how powerful it can be to have someone who truly listens and supports you during hard seasons. That’s the kind of therapist I strive to be for you, your child, and your family.
My ultimate goal as a therapist is to help you find your sense of calm—even when life feels loud, messy, or out of control. Therapy isn’t about having everything figured out all of the time; it’s about feeling supported, listened to, and validated as you work through life challenges at your own pace and in a way that feels right for you. I would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey toward healing, growth, and calmer days ahead.
When I’m not in session, you’ll usually find me spending time with my family, thrifting for hidden treasures, catching up on my favorite shows, or soaking up quiet moments whenever I can.
I look forward to seeing how I can support you and your family.
